Lina graduated from Florida International University in December 2012 with a BS in Psychology, a minor in Sociology, a certificate in Latin American and Caribbean Studies, and a concentration in Behavior Analysis. Lina is a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) with 4 years of experience working with children on the Autism Spectrum and with other externalizing behavior problems both in the homes and in an early intervention program. During her undergraduate years, she collaborated in the development and implementation of programs in under-served communities in Nicaragua and Peru. These aimed to improve the living conditions of children and their families. Additionally, she was extensively involved in a research project focused on the growth and development of infants. Currently, Lina is working towards her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology at FIU and is completing her coursework in ABA from Florida Institute of Technology. Lina hopes to become a BCBA in the near future to continue her work with children and their families.
