Jose is a Behavior Assistant who has been working in the field of ABA for over 4 years. He graduated from Florida International University with his Bachelor’s in Psychology. He also earned his Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Purdue University. Jose was a teacher for 7 years at a special needs school called Learning Links. At this school he taught multiple subjects at elementary, middle school, and high school levels, working with ASD students from ages 5 to 19. Jose has also been involved in sports and recreation groups for children with special needs. He is currently working towards attaining his RBT certification and field work hours to ultimately reach his goal to become a BCBA. Jose is bilingual, speaking fluent English and Spanish. His experience working in the ASD community, both as a teacher and behavior assistant has allowed him to absorb a greater understanding of variables in multiple settings that affect and/or are conducive to successful interventions. Jose’s passion revolves servicing individuals and families affected by special needs and helping them increase their quality of life.
