From a very young age, Kayleigh, a BCBA, always had the desire in heart to help special needs children. She grew up admiring her mom’s success as an ESE teacher and knew she wanted to follow in her footsteps. After graduating from Florida State University in 2010 with an emphasis in Family and Child Sciences, Kayleigh began working in a school based center for children with Autism, delivering instruction to early intervention children and adolescents. Kayleigh held leadership roles as the Social Skills/Group Activity Leader for the middle and high school classrooms, as well as, a Team Trainer on implementing ABA strategies for new employees. Her patience under pressure, ability to multi-task, and organizational skills allowed for her to comfortably and independently manage a classroom of up to four students with special needs. After two successful years in the school/center-based setting, Kayleigh broadened her experience to include working in a home environment. While gaining valuable experience in the field, Kayleigh went on to complete coursework in Applied Behavior Analysis through the Florida Institute of Technology. In January, 2013, Kayleigh became a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst, BCaBA. Since becoming certified, Kayleigh has assumed supervisory roles and been responsible for managing new client cases. Kayleigh has obtained from University of West Florida her master’s degree in Exceptional Student Education with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis.
