She loves the work she does helping families ensure that their child becomes an independent, productive member of their community. Mia was born in Montreal, Canada and attended McGill University. She began the first two years of her career as an English as a Foreign Language teacher in the Czech Republic. Mia secured her Master’s Degree in Exceptional Education from the University of Wisconsin. She later earned certification in School Supervision and Administration from John’s Hopkins University. Mia also holds certification in Exceptional Education, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Social Science, and General Education. Mia also attended Clemson University’s BCBA program and is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst.
In addition to living in the Czech Republic, Mia lived in Israel for two years, where most of her family resides. She has 4 children, two boys and two girls. Her youngest son has autism, which gives Mia a special understanding of the challenges and joys involved in raising a child on the spectrum. She finds that this knowledge better helps her to support her clients.
