Siomara is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in psychology from Florida International University and her M.S. in mental health counseling with a concentration in behavior analysis from Nova Southeastern University. She was first introduced to behavior analysis and inspired to work with children in the autism spectrum while taking Introduction to the Experimental Analysis of behavior at FIU under PBS founder, Maria Arizmendi.  Since then, she has gained experience working with children and adolescents with developmental disabilities in a variety of settings including therapy centers, schools, and home.

Siomara’s training has focused on increasing verbal behavior, creating and implementing behavior reduction plans, as well as social and functional skill development.
Siomara believes in an interdisciplinary approach to help the children and families she works with. She believes with consistency and communication caregivers and providers can work together to reach a child’s true potential.
