Vanessa is a BCBA who has been working in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis for over 10 years. She received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Florida International University, and her master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in Applied Behavior Analysis from Nova Southeastern University. While she was a student at FIU, Vanessa fortuitously stumbled upon a job listing for a position as a behavior therapist working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other related disabilities. Vanessa immediately fell in love with ABA, and decided to pursue a career in the field. She specializes in early intervention, focusing on all aspects of verbal behavior, as well as the reduction of problem behavior. Vanessa has worked in various settings including schools, homes, education/therapy-based centers predominantly with children ages 16 months – 8 years old. She holds extensive training in ABLLS, VB-MAPP, functional communication training, skill acquisition, and behavior reduction. She is truly passionate about ABA and is committed to changing the lives of the families she works with.
